News: Apple acquires domain for $4.5 million iCloud.com?

Apple has bought the iCloud.com domain name for $4.5 million, according to a new report. Citing an anonymous tipster, GigaOM reports that iCloud.com was until recently, Sweden-based Xcerion used for its cloud based storage service, has been since then, the renamed as CloudMe. The source, who know the company, said that Xcerion sold the iCloud domain to Apple for $4.5 million although the WHOIS database or Xcerion as the owner of the domain lists. As in the article mentioned, Apple is reportedly on a cloud-based "Locker" for content as iCloud; work, could be branded it could also the name for their upcoming cloud based music service will look.
